February 2021 Newsletter

Happy Lunar New Year (the year of the ox)!

It’s good to be back from Wellington, Florida.  Although, in February I will be spending a lot of time in Katy, Texas since we will be showing at the Winter Series at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center.  If you would like to show at these shows and haven’t signed up yet, please let us know asap.  Speaking of signing up, if you plan to show at Pin Oak , please send us an e-mail with what weeks you will be showing.  Pin Oak sells out quickly, so please don’t wait until the last minute to sign up.  We are planning to go to Kentucky for two weeks of showing in June.   The dates are June 9-13 and June 15-20.  If that is something that may interest you, please let us know.

Now, I have to take a moment to tell you how proud I am of all the MPH riders who participated in the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington.  The competition is stiff at these shows and MPH definitely held their own.  From Championships, ribbons in every class, clear rounds and improving a skill to be a better rider, we did it all!  Put WEF on your calendar for next year!  Special shout out to Victoria Johnson who showed two weeks and was Champion both weeks in the Rusty Stirrup on Brazos!

Welcome back to Maria Espinosa!

Guess who turned 30 on February 1?  Alfredo!  Please wish him a belated birthday next time you see him.

Please remember that we are still social distancing.  COVID cases are at an all-time high and now is not the time to stop following the guidelines.  If you or your child have been exposed to COVID, please do not come to the barn until you have a negative test.   If your child cannot attend school because of the school’s COVID policy, then they should not be at the barn.  If you are not allowed in your office because of your workplace’s COVID policy, you should not come to the barn.   Please help us keep our barn family safe.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
