Horse Show Corner

A division is made up of a group of classes.  Typically in Hunter Divisions there are four jumping and one under saddle.  In Equitation it is typically two over fences and one flat class. Jumpers may have three classes or two classes with the third class being their Classic which would count as bonus points.  The horse or rider with the most points in their respective division will be pinned Champion.  The combination with the second highest amount of points will be Reserve Champion.  In the case of ties in the Hunter Divisions they will have a hack off. What is a hack off?  A hack off is when the horse’s tied for Champion or Reserve show on the flat against each other.  In the Equitation or Jumpers horses tied for Champion or Reserve usually flip a coin.
