September, 2022 Newsletter
Hello!
It’s been so much fun catching up with everyone, hearing about their summer adventures. We had some summer adventures of our own! Starting with Pony Camp, then on to Split Rock Horse Shows in June, Junior Hunter Finals, Michigan Horse Shows and Pony Hunter Finals. The summer was chock full.
We finished our adventures with the Traverse City Michigan show, the first week of August, and then the Pony Hunter Finals in Lexington, Kentucky the following week. Here are some of the highlights of those two weeks:
MJ Maestas and Major Sassafras aka Majorette stepped up their game and were Champion in the Short Stirrup Equitation.
Georgia Carter and Gentleman Jack aka Jack also stepped up their game. They were Reserve Champion in the Intermediate Hunters.
Emory Wuertz and Lillie Lyn aka Lillie won another tri color in the Walk/Trot. This time she was Reserve Champion!
Elle Wuertz and Tallulah aka Lulu finished up strong and won the last Intermediate Hunter over Fences Class.
Elisabeth Marek and Chambertino 2 aka Tino moved up to the Low Children’s Jumpers where they finished off the week with a third place finish in their classic!
I want to give a shout out to Emmy Canterbury and Bada Bling Bada Blue aka Blue. The pair competed in the Pony Hunter Finals in Lexington, Kentucky. Congratulations to Emmy on competing and completing her first National Final!
A big welcome to Delaney Husted. She is leasing Small World aka Petunia while Lina Monty is at TCU.
Congratulations to Liston Johnson on her new ride, Charleston aka Charley.

Finally, a bittersweet moment in my life as I wish Elisabeth Marek all the best as she enters the newest chapter of her life. From the entire staff, Elisabeth, we wish you good luck at W&L!
