Welcome back!

I hope that everyone had a great summer!  Can’t wait to hear all about the camp adventures and worldwide travels.

For now, we will continue to observe Summer Hours through September 3.  We will continue to monitor the temperatures and make any necessary changes to our hours depending on the temperatures.

Summer Hours:

Monday….Closed

Tuesday-Thursday….8 am to 12 pm, 5 pm to 7 pm.

Friday….8 am to 1 pm.

Saturday….8 am.

Sunday….8 am.

You will sign up for weekday lessons on Time Tree.  Please sign up at least 24 hours in advance.  We will monitor the lessons and if they become too large, we will divide them.  If you are not in school, we encourage you to ride in the morning lessons.  Weekend lessons will be assigned according to levels.  Please let us know if you will not be attending a weekend lesson within 24 hours of receiving the weekend schedule.

Now let me tell you a little about our summer adventures!  We spent the month of July in Traverse City, Michigan showing at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival.  Here are some of the highlights!

Equitation Day, July 11 (Setting the stage for a great month of showing!):

Liston Johnson’s Chine Van’t Schanshof Z aka Chine had a blue-ribbon round in the meter jumpers with Caroline Molther.

GLEF 2:

Elle McNear was our big winner week 2 on Canadian Pacific aka Cisco.  They were Reserve Champion in the Low Children’s Equitation Division along with being third in the Low Children’s Hunter Classic and fifth in the 2’-6” Non-Pro Derby.  Elle and Bada Bing Bada Blue aka Blue were seventh in the Medium Pony Hunter Classic.

Delaney Husted also had good Low Children’s Hunter Classic results with a sixth on Small World aka Petunia and a seventh on her new horse Malibu.  Delaney and Petunia were also tenth in the 2’-6” Non-Pro Derby.

Liston Johnson had good Classic results as well.  In the Children’s Hunter Classic, she was fifth on Highmark aka Koko and eighth on Don Bocelli aka Freddie.  She was also sixth in the Pre-Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic on Chine Van’t Schanshof Z.

GLEF 3:

Delaney and Small World made their last week count.  The pair were Champion in the Low Children’s Hunters.  They took a win on both Saturday and Sunday! The pair was also seventh in the Low Children’s Hunter Classic.

Caroline rode Liston’s Don Bocelli to the Reserve Championship in the USHJA 3’ Hunters.

Liston had a great win on Highmark!  The pair won the Children’s Hunter Classic with a score of 159.  Liston and Chine Van’t Schanshof Z were fifth in the Pre-Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic.

Elle and Canadian Pacific scored some long ribbons.  The pair was third AGAIN in the Low Children’s Hunter Classic.  They were also tenth in the 2’-6” Non-Pro Derby.  Elle and Bada Bing Bada Blue were sixth in the Medium Pony Hunter Classic.

GLEF 4:

Equitation Day

Liston and Cassandra really hit it out of the park!  They won both the USHJA 3’-3” Hunter Seat Medal and Hamel Foundation NHS 3’-3” Medal!

Liston also made her last week in Michigan with Chine count.  The pair won the first class in the Pre-Children’s/ Adult Jumpers, finished eighth in the second class and fourth in the Classic making them Reserve Champion!   Look for them in the Modified Children’s Jumpers in Katy.

And finally, Liston and Freddie finished on a great note.  They were tenth in the 3’ Non-Pro Derby!  Caroline also picked up a win on Freddie in the USHJA 3’ Hunters.

Georgia Carter and Gentleman Jack aka Jack made their first week count. Winning their first class and finishing second in two classes made them Reserve Champion in the Intermediate Children’s/Adult Hunters.

We also got some more long ribbons!  Dana Malin and Happier Then Ever aka Eli picked up a sixth in the Low Adult Hunter Classic as well as fifth in the 2’-6” Non-Pro Derby.

MJ Maestas and Clint One aka Uno picked up the third in the 2’-6” Non-Pro Derby.  MJ and Major Sassafras aka Majorette were ninth in the class.  She also finished fifth on Majorette and sixth on Uno in the Low Children’s Hunter Classic.
