Let’s hope April showers bring May flowers and not mosquitos! I am hoping that the February Artic blast has eradicated some of our mosquito population. Fingers crossed!
We had a strong finish during the last two weeks of showing at Pin Oak. Congratulations to all our Pin Oak exhibitors on a job well done. Here are some of the highlights of Pin Oak 2 and 3.
Pin Oak 2
Lauren Harrison and Punch were Champion in the Long Stirrup.
Punch was also Reserve Champion in the 2’/2’-3” Pin Oak Hunter Division. Caroline and Lauren shared the riding duties.
Liston Johnson and Jumping Jack aka JJ were Reserve Champion in the Modified Children’s Hunter Division.
Annabel Grefe and Silver Leaf Noel were Reserve Champion in the Opportunity 18 Inches on Saturday.
Victoria Johnson’s Brazos and Caroline Molther were Reserve Champion in the Hopeful Hunters.
Caroline also won a Hopeful Hunter on Liston Johnson’s Grafton.
Courtney Baggett and Highmark aka Koko won the warm up and a 3’-3” Younger A/O Hunter over Fences Class.
Anabella De Leon Gamez and Chapeau received a blue ribbon in the 0.75-meter Training Jumpers.

Julia Sand and Buenos moved up to the Short Stirrup Division.
Sloane Wallace and RVF Hudson moved up to the 3’-3’ Junior Hunter Division.
Liston and Jumping Jack scored an 88 in their first round of their Classic!
Pin Oak 3
Julia Sands and Buenos were Reserve Champion in the Short Stirrup Division.
Liston Johnson and Grafton were Reserve Champion in the Modified Children’s Division.
Jordan Fama and Victoria Johnson’s Brazos were Reserve Champion in the Adult Modified Division. Thank You Victoria for sharing your lovely horse with Jordan!
Sloane Wallace’s RVF Hudson aka Hudson with Caroline Molther in the irons won the 3’-3” Performance Hunter under saddle.
Liston Johnson’s Grafton also won his under saddle in the Hopeful Hunters with Caroline in the saddle
Lauren Harrison and Punch won both the Long Stirrup Equitation on the Flat and over Fences.
Punch also won a Hopeful Hunter over Fences Class with Caroline on board.
Alison Kratish’s Roxton aka Rocky won the 2’-6” Warm Up. Caroline rode him to the win.
Elle Wuertz and Blue Print aka Harley won the Flat Class in the 18-inch Opportunity Division on Sunday.
Note Worthy Mentions
Lily O’Gorman and Taylor Odum Cooper’s Hadron won three third place ribbons over fences in their first time doing the Modified Children’s Hunters. Talk about being consistent!
Emory Wuertz and Blue Print aka Harley brought home another win in the Lead Line Division. Rumor has it that soon she will be doing the Walk Class!
A big Congratulations to Liston Johnson on the purchase of Jumping Jack aka JJ.
Julia Sands also has a new partner! Congratulations on the purchase of Dressed Up aka Bella.
And last but not least Congratulations to Ellie Wexler on her new mount, Silver Dragon aka Dragon.

Both these shows are at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas.
If you have not already done so, please let us know if you plan on showing at these shows.
Tuesday, May 25 we will close at noon. All horses will be wormed and receive their flu/Rhino boosters.

Pony Camp
We will offer Pony Camp three weeks this summer.

Camp is $50 a day and offered to all riders under 18.

If you have not already told us your intent to show this summer, please do so asap.
We will begin to relax our mask rule. If you are fully vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask. This is an honor system. Please continue to wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated. We will continue to social distance. And please do not come to the barn if you are coughing, running a fever or in anyway not feeling well.
