Happy Groundhog Day!
Let’s hope that Punxsutawney Phil does not see his shadow. We certainly don’t want a repeat of last February! Fingers crossed that we don’t have any more February freezes for a long time to come.
We spent most of January in Wellington, Florida competing at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) where we won ribbons in the Equitation, Hunter and Jumper Rings. I was so proud of our riders. We all had a great time. Hopefully, we also got just a little bit smarter about horse showing and riding. Good job, Elisabeth, Elle, Emma, Emmy, Julia and Liston!
In February, we are on to Katy, TX where we will compete for the next four weeks. The shows are sold out, but if you would like to compete and have not signed up, let us know and we will put you on the wait list.
If you are interested in competing at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, please let us know no later then February 25. These shows also sell out, so please let know asap.
We will also need a commitment, sometime in March, as to what weeks you will be showing in Michigan. We will send an e-mail with the exact deadline. These shows also sell out, so please check your calendars and let us know your plans.
Congratulations to Elizabeth Carter and her new partner, Kool’s Candy Apple aka Candy.
Congratulations also to Annabel Grefe on the lease of her new partner, Banana Split aka Nana.
Congratulations to Elle Wuertz on her new pony, Moves Like Jagger aka Jagger.
Last and certainly not least, congratulations to Katherine Cameron finishing the Houston half marathon in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
We have added a Lost and Found crate in the back of the grooming stall by the tack room in Barn C. Any gloves, jackets, sweaters, water bottles, etc. that are left at the ring, grooming area or by stalls will be put into the crate. We will also put any unmarked ribbons in the crate along with anything left at the shows. On the last day of each month, we will donate or throw out any unclaimed items remaining in the crate. Be sure to check for any left items in a timely fashion.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
